Full Job Description
This position may be filled prior to the posted deadline. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.

Koniag Government Services is seeking an Enterprise Architect - Office of the CEO to serve as a senior enterprise execution leader working directly for the CEO. This role will help accelerate innovation, AI adoption, business process modernization, operational improvement, and strategic growth initiatives across the enterprise. The successful candidate must be fully vested in KGS, aligned to the CEO's direction and the leadership team's vision, and committed to converting that vision into execution. This person will be a consistent force for forward movement: clarifying priorities, connecting teams, making informed decisions, removing roadblocks, and driving high-priority initiatives from concept through implementation with urgency, authority, and measurable operational impact.

Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, paid time off, paid parental leave, life and disability insurance, flexible spending accounts, commuter benefits and tuition reimbursement.

The Enterprise Architect will operate as a cross-functional transformation and execution leader for CEO-sponsored priorities.

Principal responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Lead Enterprise Architecture (EA) for KGS, following and/or implementing disciplined approaches to EA for innovation, automation, and business process improvement initiatives that require coordination across operations, technology, finance, HR, contracts, delivery, security, and business development.
  • Work directly with the CEO as part of the ELT to convert strategic intent into actionable initiatives, decision packages, implementation roadmaps, operating models, governance mechanisms, and measurable outcomes.
  • Serve as a conduit for change by moving priority efforts quickly across organizational boundaries, aligning stakeholders, resolving ambiguity, and preventing important initiatives from stalling in functional silos.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies using a technology-agnostic approach including AI-enabled capabilities, commercial platforms, process automation opportunities, and enterprise data/workflow patterns for practical adoption, operational fit, risk, cost, and scalability.
  • Facilitate decision making by framing tradeoffs, surfacing constraints, recommending pragmatic paths forward, and ensuring everyone involved is focused on advancing the priority rather than simply checking boxes or transferring risk.
  • Apply multifaceted operational experience across business operations, service delivery, technology, contracts, compliance, change management, and organizational execution to ensure recommendations are practical and implementable.
  • Maintain clear decision records, implementation plans, action trackers, executive briefings, process documentation, adoption plans, risk registers, and operating metrics that keep initiatives moving and accountable.
  • Chair the Investment Review Board (IRB), making sound business recommendations for the progression of emerging technologies and capabilities for KGS using cost-effective solutions. Final investment decision to be made by CEO.
  • Ensure enterprise solutions are compatible with existing infrastructure, adding to or enhancing or capabilities with emerging technologies.

Education and Experience:

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, Operations Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent executive-level operational and transformation experience.
  • 15+ years of progressively responsible experience leading enterprise operations, technology transformation, business process improvement, digital modernization, or cross-functional implementation initiatives in complex organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience working across organizational boundaries with authority, credibility, and urgency to align leaders, remove blockers, make decisions, and deliver outcomes.
  • Multifaceted operational experience spanning business operations, delivery execution, technology, governance, risk management, customer or mission support, and organizational change.
  • Enterprise architecture, business architecture, Lean Six Sigma, PMP, cloud, AI, cybersecurity, data, or automation-related certifications.
  • Experience supporting federal contracting, professional services, shared services, corporate transformation, M&A integration, or enterprise growth initiatives.

Required Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong enterprise architecture and systems-thinking skills, with the ability to connect strategy, operations, technology, people, process, data, governance, cost, risk, and execution.
  • Ability to make timely, well-reasoned decisions with incomplete information while clearly identifying assumptions, risks, tradeoffs, dependencies, and required executive support.
  • Practical understanding of AI, automation, analytics, enterprise platforms, workflow modernization, change adoption, and the emerging technology landscape.
  • Ability to produce concise executive materials, implementation plans, decision records, process maps, operating models, business cases, metrics, and action plans.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the credibility to engage senior leaders, operational teams, technologists, corporate functions, and delivery organizations while staying fully vested in KGS and the leadership team's vision.
  • Ability to operate with discretion, sound judgment, and a bias for implementation while protecting sensitive business, personnel, financial, and strategic information.

Desired Skills and Competencies:
  • Experience standing up or improving an enterprise innovation function, AI enablement program, transformation office, architecture review process, or operational excellence capability.
  • Knowledge of federal contracting operations, proposal/capture support, service delivery, financial performance drivers, cybersecurity, compliance, and enterprise risk management.
  • Experience leading change in environments where priorities cross silos and require executive backing, disciplined follow-through, and fast escalation of unresolved blockers.
  • Broad familiarity with the current and potential KGS technology landscape, including enterprise collaboration, CRM, ITSM, ERP/financial, HRIS, data and analytics, cloud, cybersecurity, AI and agentic automation, workflow orchestration, integration/API, low-code/no-code, knowledge management, and emerging commercial platforms; ability to assess where existing tools should be optimized and where new capabilities should be adopted, piloted, scaled, or retired.
