THE WORK
As the Project & Planning Manager for Enterprise Affordability, you will be at the center of Sikorsky's commitment to operational improvement and financial performance. You will manage the full operational lifecycle of a cross-functional affordability portfolio, serving as the key liaison between project planning, project teams, and line management to ensure that high-impact initiatives are well-resourced, on schedule, and delivering measurable returns.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing the operational aspects of the enterprise affordability project portfolio, overseeing project status, budgets, and schedules across a range of concurrent initiatives while preparing regular status reports that keep senior leadership and key stakeholders informed on progress, risks, and outcomes.
Serve as the primary liaison between project management and planning, cross-functional project teams, and line management, ensuring alignment on priorities, resources, and execution standards across Operations, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, and IT.
Identifying and championing AI and automation opportunities across the enterprise, working with IT and functional subject matter experts to oversee the delivery of solutions spanning manufacturing operations, quality and root cause analysis, repair and maintenance processes, supply chain execution, and workforce capability that reduce recurring costs and free up labor capacity.
Monitoring the assessment of project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and stakeholder satisfaction goals, and you will establish the mechanisms and governance structures needed to track project progress, enable early intervention, and facilitate problem solving with project managers, line managers, and functional partners.
Leading the transition of consultant-delivered work into sustainable internal capability, ensuring that externally developed solutions are fully adopted, documented, and owned by Sikorsky teams so that efficiency gains are preserved and compounded long after engagements conclude.
Develop and maintain the assessment and selection criteria used to prioritize new affordability opportunities, directing the organization's improvement capacity toward the highest-value work and advising senior leadership on the long-range portfolio strategy needed to achieve enterprise financial commitments.

Your background combines deep expertise in project and portfolio management, cross-functional execution, and financial stewardship, allowing you to oversee large, concurrent improvement programs while keeping budgets, schedules, and risk metrics on target.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Industrial/Systems Engineering, Operations Research, Supply-Chain Management, or a closely-related discipline; Master's degree (MBA, MS in Engineering, or a related field) is strongly preferred
Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in project-/program-management, portfolio-management, or operational-excellence roles; at least 5 years of experience leading cross-functional, multi-disciplinary teams (Operations, Quality, Engineering, Supply-Chain, Finance, IT)
Desired skills
Demonstrated record of delivering large scale "affordability" or cost reduction initiatives that produced measurable ROI (e.g., cost avoidance, labor hours saved, or margin improvement)
Deep knowledge of aerospace/defense manufacturing, sustainment, or large scale production environments.
Experience with enterprise wide ERP/MRP or PLM systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Teamcenter) and an understanding of how configuration changes affect downstream logistics and finance.
Proven track record of spotting automation opportunities, defining business cases, and working with IT/SME teams to deliver AI/ML solutions (e.g., predictive maintenance, robotic process automation, quality analytics).
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $131,500 - $231,840. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $151,200 - $262,085. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
