DescriptionNorthrop Grumman's Defense Systems in Northridge, CA is seeking an
Engineering Test Technician level 4 to execute testing and troubleshooting activities for the Stand-in Attack Weapon (SiAW) and Advanced Anti-Radiation Guided Missile (AARGM) Programs.
In this role, the
Engineering Test Technician level 4 will support the Hardware Engineering team with the test, integration, and the Transition to Production (T2P) of new designs. The selected candidate will interface with Operations to provide Engineering support for production sustainment. The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining the operation of STE within the Hardware team. The selected candidate will work with cross-functional teams to analyze and identify failure trends. This position is located in
Northridge, CA and will be reporting to the Manager of Hardware Development and Integration.
There is no remote work for this role and the selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site at our facility in Northridge, CA.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Develop and implement methods and strategies to debug hardware at the system and component levels
- Creation and release of documentation, i.e. test procedures, tech memos, test reports
- Perform design verification and qualification testing under lab and stressed environments
- Data collection and metrics keeping for non-conforming material
- Operate and maintain Special Test Equipment (STE)
- Work closely with Operations and Mission Assurance teams to identify and mitigate hardware producibility issues
Basic Qualifications:- High School diploma or equivalent with 6+ years of testing and system troubleshooting experience
- Experience with operation of standard test equipment: oscilloscope, Digital Multi-meter (DMM), DC power supplies, 3-phase power supplies
- Ability to read schematics, wiring, and assembly design drawings
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Excellent data metric housekeeping skills
- Active US Government DoD Secret security clearance

- Able to work independently with minimal direction
- Creation of test case scenarios
- Regression testing experiences
- Troubleshooting of complex systems
Primary Level Salary Range: $79,100.00 - $131,900.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
