In this role, you will have a direct impact on the success of our engineering projects by providing essential technical support, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals. You will report directly to our Sr Engineering Supervisor, and this full-time position is located in our Northford, CT location.
Engineering Technicians play a critical role in developing and supporting our product development tasks while assisting our engineers to drive verification and compliant testing completion. Be a key role in performing testing and recording results for our regulatory compliance certifications.
ResponsibilitiesKEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Perform engineering verification testing and regulatory compliance testing.
- Perform initial electrical inspections of and basic testing of PCBs that have AC and DC circuitry.
- Can perform modifications of PCBs by soldering surface-mount and through hole components.
- Assist in developing technical design and test specifications.
- Build and wire an electrical system following provided schematics.
- Must be able to lift 35 lbs. (single carry)
QualificationsYOU MUST HAVE- H.S. Diploma or GED
- 2 plus years of experience in electronics testing and/or Electrical design experience
- 1 Year of experience performing modifications of PCBs by soldering surface mount and through hole components.
- Basic knowledge of electronic and ability to interpret electrical schematics to perform testing and troubleshooting
- Verifiable experience performing initial electrical inspections of and basic testing of PCBs that have AC and DC circuitry.

- Ability to integrate effectively into product development workflows and quality engineering initiatives within a continuous improvement culture.
- Ability to create system level schematics to document test setups.
- Basic understanding of mechanical and software engineering disciplines.
- Experience and use of electronic tools such as multimeter, AC and DC power supply, thermal camera and basic use of oscilloscope.
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal capabilities aligned with Honeywell values
- Familiarity with regulatory standards such as UL, ULC, FM, FCC, EN, and NFPA.
The annual base salary range for this position is $64,900-$97,240.00. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
