About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Technician to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for supporting the development, integration, testing, and maintenance of autonomous vehicles. You will be working closely with the engineering team to fabricate parts, cable harnesses, consult on design decisions with regards to manufacturability, and installation. Work within a team and provide feedback on operations within the group.

What you'll do

  • Support fabrication of prototype hardware.
  • Fabricate cable and harness subassemblies.
  • Provide design feedback to engineering with regards to manufacturability and serviceability.
  • Help vet and redline mechanical and electrical drawing packages.
  • Develop manufacturing processes and assembly work instructions.
  • Integrate hardware designs onto vehicle platforms.
  • Build and install electrical components.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in automotive or industrial repair.
  • Experience in electrical troubleshooting and repair.
  • A solution-driven approach - the ability to distill complexity into its essential, digestible components, and then execute autonomously on fabrication tasks without needing clearly written procedures.
  • Able to understand new concepts as well as directional feedback and apply changes quickly and accurately.
  • Able to meet deadlines and work independently, with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively.
  • High level of craftsmanship, organizational skills, and fabrication quality. An individual who takes pride in their work and their work environment.
  • Able to interpret mechanical and electrical assembly drawings and schematics.
  • Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical degree or certification in automotive technology, robotics, or a related field.
  • Experience working with autonomous vehicles or driver-assistances systems (ADAS).
  • Experience executing with command line Linux tools for computer and system configuration.


US Hourly Range
$37/hr - $42/hr

Location:
On-Site - Clarksburg, MD
Occasional travel may be required.

Occasional night and weekend work may be required.

The salary range for this role is an estimate and is based on a wide variety of compensation factors. The salary offered to candidates will vary based on a variety of factors including (but not limited to) relevant work experience, education, specialized training, critical expertise, training, and more.
