Full Job Description
is seeking an Engineering Technician - Asset Management with expertise in Asset Management, facility condition assessments and the built environment, in the posting locations below. The ideal candidate will have experience conducting facility assessments and asset evaluations to ensure the reliability, efficiency, and safety of mechanical systems and infrastructure. This role requires a keen understanding of building systems, asset life-cycle management, and the ability to assess the condition and performance of assets to optimize facility operations.

Posting Locations: Fort Collins, or Greenwood Village (Denver Tech Center), CO; Phoenix, AZ; or St. Louis, MO

What You'll Do:
  • Data Collection & Analysis: Gather and analyze data related to assets and systems, including drawings, specifications, building automation system and maintenance management system information.
  • Configure facility systems in a variety of software databases which may include structural/architectural/civil/electrical/fire protection/mechanical and plumbing systems. Familiarity with the UNIFORMAT convention is valued
  • Provide assessment teams orientation on assessing techniques, prepare data collection devices, and provide guidance to field assessment teams.
  • Facility Condition Assessments: Perform facility assessments to varying levels of detail in order to evaluate the condition of assets, systems, and infrastructure, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other key systems.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of mechanical systems, building infrastructure, and facility operations. Familiarity with asset lifecycle management, condition assessment methods, and maintenance strategies.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for creating detailed reports, presenting findings, and collaborating with stakeholders.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, interpret assessment results, and provide actionable recommendations for asset management improvements.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to address complex facility issues and asset performance challenges.
  • Performance Reporting: Create comprehensive assessment reports with detailed findings, including recommendations for repair, replacement, or upgrades, and prioritize actions based on criticality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Provide quality control reviews on work products including asset configuration, assessment results, and reporting.
  • Providing scopes and opinions of probable costs for required repairs and replacements.


What You'll Need:
  • Associate's degree in a Mechanical or Construction-related discipline; other technical-related degrees will be considered.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience with built environments. In lieu of an associate's degree, field experience will be considered
  • 2+ years in consulting on built infrastructure asset management, or facility management preferred.
  • Ability to interact with Project Manager and Discipline Technical Leads to ensure compliance with project scope objectives.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems including architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection.
  • Ability to support several large complex projects simultaneously, and complete small projects independently.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with RS Means and providing opinions of probable cost for repairs and replacement.
  • Variable travel up to 25% of the time to support field operations.

Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity)
