The impact you'll makeThis role offers a unique opportunity to build a rewarding career working with Scanning Electron Microscopes (SEM) in a dynamic, semiconductor-focused environment.
Successful candidates will be well versed in sample imaging for some of the following techniques: Cross Section SEM (XSEM), Electron Dispersive X-Ray Spectroscopy (EDS/EDX), and sample cleaving.
What you'll do- Responsible for supporting a variety of semiconductor applications using Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) to image challenging structures.
- Experience in imaging samples on a wafer level taking profile, sidewalls, and top-down images on the SEM.
- Some experience with EDS analysis.
- Have knowledge on image optimization on the SEM for various materials.
- Have the ability to contribute to development of best-known methods (BKM) for SEM imaging of new applications.
- Be able to perform SEM alignments and correct basic fault conditions on metrology equipment.
- Must possess good written and verbal communication skills to work with large internal customer base.
Who we're looking for- AS/BS in related field of discipline or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of SEM experience.
- Effective communication skills in English, written and verbal.
- Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Office software.
- Ability to work a shift schedule.
Preferred qualifications- Associates degree, Technical Certificate in a technical field.
- Experience in metrology or related areas.
- Experience in semiconductor is a plus.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. 'On-site Flex' you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. 'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.

SalaryCA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $27.88 - $53.85.
The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
