Position SummaryReporting to the Engineering Manager, the individual will be responsible for the firmware development to provide integrated solutions for diverse mobile and automotive platforms. You will be part of a team involved in the design and development of modules used in the heavy-duty truck and bus market. This position includes the development of software that responds in real time.
Primary Responsibilities- Design, development and integration of custom firmware for various automotive modules.
- Strong coordination and collaboration across wide range of technical areas to include software, hardware, integration, architecture, simulation, manufacturing and quality disciplines.
- Paying attention to details during all phases of firmware design, development, integration, testing and release.
- On time execution of defined tasks and deliverables, driving dependencies with other teams to a successful completion.
- System design, implementation and integration of new software features.
- Maintain, support, and improve existing products.
- Create and manage software designs and manufacturing documentation for various products.
- Problem solving using root cause analysis techniques.
- Code review.
- Other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in software engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
- 4+ years' experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
- Good English written and verbal communication skills, expected to interact with other engineers, suppliers and customers.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Be a highly motivated self-starter capable of working independently as well as in a group setting.
- Be well organized and able to multi-task.
Preferred Qualifications- 2 to 5 years of experience with embedded software design and validation.
- C Programming.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong collaborative skills working with multiple teams.
- Chip/SoC on-target, emulation and simulation platform and debug experience.
- Highly proficient in C.
- Good analytical, debugging and problem-solving skills.
- ARM microprocessor architecture and ARM Assembly language experience.
- Good understanding of basic real-time/embedded programming, resource-constrained environments, and operating systems.
- Be able to use Microsoft Office, Internet & Enterprise One Resource Planning Software.
- Good analytical, debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of the IATF16949 and ISO 26262 quality standards.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $80,000-110,000
