United Wire & Cable (UWC), a GCG company, is seeking an Engineering Project Manager to join our team in Richmond Hill, Ontario. In this role, you will lead cross-functional projects supporting the delivery of engineered electrical wire and cable solutions for industrial, mining, and infrastructure applications.

 

Working closely with engineering, production, and external partners, you will coordinate resources, track project performance, and provide clear communication to stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. This role plays an important part in ensuring projects are delivered efficiently while maintaining the high standards of quality, reliability, and customer service our clients expect.

 

Work Arrangement

 

This is a hybrid position based out of our Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada location.

Occasional travel within Canada and the United States may be required to support project activities and customer engagements.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Manage projects from requirements definition through deployment, including schedules, scope, budgets, and implementation plans

  • Coordinate internal teams and external partners to ensure projects remain on track and aligned with defined objectives

  • Monitor project progress and adjust scope, timelines, or resources as needed to maintain project performance

  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with customer stakeholders

  • Provide regular project updates and communicate progress, risks, and outcomes to leadership and project stakeholders

  • Develop and maintain project tracking systems to monitor progress across multiple initiatives

  • Collaborate with third-party suppliers and manufacturers to support project execution

  • Maintain quality and performance standards while identifying and mitigating project risks

  • Escalate issues when necessary to ensure projects remain aligned with expectations and delivery timelines

What You’ll Bring

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering

  • 2–5 years of project management experience, preferably within an engineering, manufacturing, or technical environment

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information clearly to stakeholders

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining project timelines and budgets

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within Canada and the United States

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certifications such as PMP or P.Eng

  • Familiarity with ISO9001:2015 and electrical codes (CSA, NEC, UL, etc.)

  • Experience working with CRM systems, Microsoft CRM experience considered an asset

  • Experience supporting projects in industrial, manufacturing, mining, or infrastructure environments
