A Snapshot of Your Day

As Technical Engineer for Gas Turbin Combustion, you'll drive the development of next-generation combustion system technologies that support decarbonization and power the future. Leading a multidisciplinary team of experts across aerodynamics, mechanical design, testing, procurement, and manufacturing, you'll turn complex engineering challenges into world-class solutions with real global impact.

How You'll Make an Impact
  • Monitor project status against product requirements (Product Requirement Specification (PRS) / Order Entry Document (OED)), ensuring technical, engineering, commercial, and quality objectives are met.
  • Develop the technical Product Design Specification / Project Description (PDS/PB) based on the PRS.
  • Report project status to Engineering Management and escalate critical issues in a timely manner (technical, commercial, quality, or schedule-related).
  • Represent Engineering in both internal and external customer communications, including reports and meetings.
  • Serve as the technical project lead and primary engineering contact for development programs, with responsibility for team disciplines, milestones, and budgets.
  • Developing next-generation combustion hardware that supports Siemens Energy's decarbonization goals while adhering to the Product Development Process (PDP).
What You Bring
  • Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; a PhD is preferred.
  • 3-5+ years' technical engineering background combined with experience managing detailed engineering projects involving gas turbine components, ideally within combustion design. Candidates with more years of experience may be considered at a higher level.
  • Knowledge of agile product development processes
  • Strong presentation skills combined with excellent cross-functional collaboration abilities to develop innovative solutions within multicultural teams.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
