Engineering Program Manager

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Program Manager to drive structured execution across cross-functional engineering initiatives. This role requires someone who can bring clarity to complex programs, establish delivery processes, manage priorities, and ensure successful execution while partnering closely with engineering, product, and program leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive consistent delivery planning and governance to ensure work aligns with business priorities.
  • Establish delivery frameworks, planning processes, governance cadence, reporting standards, and backlog management practices.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and program leadership to prioritize work based on strategic objectives.
  • Manage domain backlog structure, planning activities, delivery milestones, scope, and dependencies.
  • Ensure engineering capacity is focused on high-value initiatives.
  • Coordinate cross-team planning, sequencing, and integration activities.
  • Identify, track, and mitigate delivery risks and dependencies while escalating issues when appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate project artifacts, dashboards, and reporting within Jira.
  • Provide timely communication to stakeholders regarding project progress, risks, and changes.
  • Ensure initiatives include clearly defined acceptance criteria and measurable business outcomes.
  • Validate completed work against acceptance criteria and expected outcomes with engineering and program stakeholders.
  • Participate in cross-functional work intake and planning activities.
  • Support continuous improvement of planning, discovery, and delivery processes.
  • Promote consistent execution using standardized templates, governance, and delivery practices.
  • Build strong partnerships across engineering, product, design, systems, testing, operations, quality, release management, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Drive alignment through documented decisions, transparent planning, and effective communication.
  • Use delivery metrics, risks, dependencies, and program health indicators to support planning and leadership decision-making.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum 4 years of IT experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of Program Management experience.
  • Strong expertise in Project Management and Program Management.
  • Experience with Project Planning.
  • Proficiency with Jira.
  • Experience working in Agile software development environments.
  • Strong technical communication skills.
  • Excellent conflict management and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to manage cross-functional programs, priorities, risks, dependencies, and delivery planning.
  • Experience creating executive-level status updates and communicating complex technical initiatives to diverse audiences.
