Job Overview

We're looking for an Engineering Manager capable of originating and sourcing impactful technical ideas and leading a vibrant team to build the client & UI capabilities and shepherd the architecture of our Android and iOS apps. This position entails understanding what improvements would accelerate product innovation and developer experience to enable teams to craft and ship rich and performant product experiences. The perfect fit would be someone who thrives on simplification, sees solutions others miss, and can harness a team of talented engineers.

  • Team leadership: mentor and inspire a dream team

  • Product leadership: define and execute an impactful roadmap in partnership with other engineering teams

About you
  • You9ve shipped consumer-facing client applications on either Android or iOS

  • You have built and led software engineering teams

  • You're familiar with the technical aspects and trade-offs of performance optimization techniques, architecture patterns, and modernizing code in client applications

  • You can run with ambiguous requirements, be decisive when appropriate, and take smart risks

  • You9re unafraid to take on new challenges and learn quickly to be effective in a new domain

  • You9re proactive and results-oriented

  • You communicate and collaborate effectively and can advocate for controversial positions

  • Passion for movies, TV series, and technology with an understanding of the streaming media industry is a plus

Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $436,000.00 - $710,000.00.

Netflix provides comprehensive benefits including Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits. We also offer paid leave of absence programs. Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off.
