Overview

Why We Need Your Talents:

The Engineering Manager is responsible for directing the daily operations of the engineering department to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient functioning of all building systems throughout the property. This role plays a critical part in overseeing facility maintenance, coordinating complex technical projects, and ensuring all work is completed on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with safety and regulatory standards. Your leadership in managing engineering staff, allocating resources, and upholding operational procedures directly supports the property's long-term performance and guest experience. By providing clear direction, developing team capabilities, and maintaining high operational standards, you help safeguard company assets and ensure the seamless execution of all engineering initiatives.

Day Shift

Responsibilities

Where You'll Make an Impact:
  • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of projects. This includes setting budgets and timelines and ensuring that projects meet quality and safety standards.
  • Recruit, hire, and train new engineering staff. They also manage the day-to-day workflow of the department, assign tasks, and provide performance evaluations.
  • Communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders, such as investors and customers. They also collaborate with other team leaders and departments.
  • Help their staff troubleshoot issues with prototypes and solve complex technical problems.
  • Oversee project logistics and resource allocation. They also advocate for their team members by securing the resources they need to succeed.

Qualifications

Must-Haves:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Requires a four (4)-year college degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Seven (7) to ten (10) years' experience in managing or supervising large, complex commercial facility inclusive of line and staff team members in each of the functional areas: Maintenance; Construction, Trades, Energy efficiency programs.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the necessary license as mandated by the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand and ability to sit for long periods of time
  • Ability to use hands and fingers to handle and feel; use hands and arms to reach, legs and feet to balance, stoop, kneel or crouch.
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 40 lbs. and infrequently lift and/or move up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to regularly utilize sufficient vision or other powers of observation to review documents and computer screens and organize documents and materials.

Working Conditions:
  • 24/7 high energy casino with over 300,000 sq. ft of gaming and entertainment space and approximately 3000 employees
  • Exposed to alcohol, cigarette and cigar smoke, bright lights, and loud noises.
  • You will work in an environment where smoking is allowed.
