About the Role
As an engineering manager II in AV Labs, you will be at the forefront of Physical AI, building advanced autonomy algorithms and models to add rich semantics to our massive driving data. The ideal candidate will be able to identify issues, provide solutions and implement the fixes as well as setting a high technical excellence bar in all things we do.
What the Candidate Will Do
- Define the roadmap for development of vehicle onboard software stack.
- Establish operational tooling requirements for large scale data collection.
- Communicate progress, opportunities and risks to leadership.
- Hire a high performing team. Raise the bar on engineering quality.
Basic Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in software engineering management.
- 3 years of experience in the AV industry.
- 8 years of experience in the software engineering industry.
- Bachelor degree in computer science, computer engineering or related fields.
- Proficient in onboard software stack, such as Robot Operating System, Apollo Cyber RT, or anything equivalent.
- Experience in over the air updates.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in software engineering management.
- Experience in multiple AV domains.
For Sunnyvale, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$232,000 per year - USD$258,000 per year.
