Job Description:Job SummaryAs the
Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the overall support and operational performance of a large engine and battery development facility. You will lead multidisciplinary teams across technical services, facility maintenance, and logistics while managing external service providers and contracts. This position plays a critical role in maintaining safe, reliable, and efficient testing and development operations by driving continuous improvement, resource optimization, and stakeholder collaboration.
What You Will Do:- Champion our safety driven strategy by focusing on preventing serious injuries, learning & improving, and demonstrating care.
- Managing staffing, development, and performance management programs for engineering teams; motivating and developing project and team leaders.
- Providing specialized engineering technical support and consulting services to various areas of the enterprise.
- Managing high-impact, short and long duration facility operation initiatives and projects; ensuring achievement of facility maintenance plans and quality.
- Maintaining facility contracts within budget.
What You Will Have: Planning: Tactical, Strategic: Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.
Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
Technical Excellence: Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.
Managing People: Knowledge of processes involved in managing people; ability to lead successful teams, and diligently address issues related to performance and conflicts at the workplace.
Project Management: Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.
Education: Requires a degree in an accredited Engineering curriculum or equivalent experience.
Additional Information: - Travel requirements may be less than 10%.
Summary Pay Range:$147,760.00 - $221,640.00
