About the RoleAllVoices is looking for an
Engineering Manager to lead a small engineering team in a player/coach role, with a heavier emphasis on coaching, delivery, process, and team development.
This person will be responsible for helping the team deliver high-quality software on predictable timelines while partnering closely with Product, QA, Customer Success, and leadership. They should be technical enough to occasionally contribute code, unblock engineers, review technical plans, and help make pragmatic engineering decisions.
Responsibilities- Manage, coach, and support a team of engineers.
- Own team delivery timelines, sprint execution, and day-to-day engineering process.
- Partner closely with Product to align roadmap priorities, scope, tradeoffs, and delivery expectations.
- Ensure work is broken down clearly and delivered with quality.
- Identify risks, dependencies, blockers, and timeline concerns early.
- Improve engineering accountability, estimation, release readiness, and follow-through.
- Review technical approaches, provide architectural guidance, and participate in code reviews.
- Occasionally contribute code when needed to unblock the team or support delivery.
What We're Looking For- Experience managing or leading software engineers in a delivery-focused environment.
- Strong technical background with the ability to guide implementation and occasionally code.
- Proven track record delivering customer-driven products on a deadline.
- Proven experience working closely with Product teams to align roadmap, scope, and timelines.
- Experience with LLM usage, AI-assisted workflows, or AI-driven development practices.
- Strong ownership of delivery quality, timelines, and team process.
- Clear communication around status, risks, tradeoffs, and expectations.
- Good judgment around when to coach, escalate, or get hands-on.
