Job Description:

The Engineering & Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading both engineering and maintenance functions within the facility. This role oversees the design, optimization, and reliability of manufacturing processes, equipment, and facility systems. The position combines hands-on maintenance leadership with strategic engineering responsibilities to improve efficiency, safety, and overall operational performance

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise maintenance personnel and engineering staff in daily operations, ensuring safe and efficient execution of all work.
  • Plan, schedule, and manage preventive maintenance programs and equipment repairs.
  • Design, analyze, and improve manufacturing processes, plant layout, workflow, and equipment utilization.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or TPM methodologies.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and design teams to resolve technical issues and improve manufacturability (DFM, process capability, etc.).
  • Oversee troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and failure investigations for equipment and processes.
  • Generate and manage work orders; track progress and ensure timely completion of maintenance and engineering projects.
  • Source and manage parts, equipment, and external vendors/suppliers.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) and implementation into production, ensuring manufacturing readiness.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and all applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for processes, procedures, and equipment standards.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development for team members, including training aligned with OSHA and operational requirements.
  • Partner with leadership to align engineering and maintenance strategies with company goals.
  • Contribute to cost-saving initiatives, capital projects, and long-term facility planning.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering preferred.(Equivalent experience with an associate degree considered).
  • 8-10+ years of experience in manufacturing, with a combination of maintenance and engineering responsibilities.
  • 3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience required.
  • Strong background in industrial or facility maintenance (10+ years preferred).
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or TPM highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership and team development skills.
  • Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing engineering principles, process design, and equipment optimization.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CMMS systems preferred.
  • Experience with AutoCAD or similar design tools preferred.
  • Knowledge of PLC programming and automation systems is a plus.

Work Environment & Expectations
  • Mix of office and production floor environment.
  • Occasional travel may be required (~10%).
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting and respond to equipment and operational needs.


Compensation Range:
$99,300.00-156,090.00

*Actual pay will vary based on qualifications and other factors
