Responsibilities- Ensures all personal activities adhere to Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) Standards and demonstrates Visible Safety Leadership through repeated Plant walkthroughs.
- Defines scope/planning and serves as project manager for Capital Project improvements as well as manages financial aspects of the site's capital improvement plan.
- Leads Automation efforts and responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and fully utilizing control systems as well as providing off-hours support if needed.
- Conducts Process Safety Management activities such as management of change, process hazards analyses, pre-startup safety reviews, etc.
- Leads Mechanical Integrity program by interacting with 3rd Party engineers and inspectors to schedule and conduct inspections, interpret reports, and drive the execution of follow-up actions.
- Manages site Maintenance department including short-term planning as well as execution of numerous projects and activities during shutdowns and turnarounds.
- Provides leadership through Contractor Management to ensure work completed meets Allnex SHE and engineering standards.
- Aligns with Operations personnel and conducts activities such as chemistry and chemical process troubleshooting to aid meeting production goals.
- Drives Continuous Improvement through tools such as six sigma, lean, workout, etc.
- Supports Quality Management System efforts through ownership of detailed operating procedures, execution of corrective actions, and participation in internal audit programs.
Required skills and experience- 5-7 years of experience in a Manufacturing environment.
- Experience in a Chemical Manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
- Detailed, results oriented, and able to thrive in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and develop plans to execute to satisfy daily operational needs while maintaining focus on longer-term strategic needs.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
- High level of proficiency in computer applications including, but not limited to Microsoft Office, SAP, LIMS, PI, AutoCAD, DCS/PLCs, etc.
