Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) standards through visible leadership and plant walkthroughs.
  • Define scope and manage capital project improvements including financial oversight.
  • Lead automation initiatives, maintaining and upgrading control systems, and providing off-hours support as needed.
  • Conduct Process Safety Management activities, including risk analysis and safety reviews.
  • Oversee the Mechanical Integrity program, coordinating with third-party engineers and ensuring follow-up actions are executed.
  • Manage the site Maintenance department during operational projects and shutdowns.
  • Provide contractor management leadership, ensuring compliance with SHE and engineering standards.
  • Collaborate with Operations to troubleshoot chemical processes and meet production targets.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement initiatives using methods like Six Sigma and lean.
  • Support Quality Management System efforts through procedural ownership and corrective actions.

In this role, you will lead capital projects, support automation and process improvement initiatives, strengthen process safety and mechanical integrity programs, and help optimize plant operations. Responsibilities

  • Ensures all personal activities adhere to Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) Standards and demonstrates Visible Safety Leadership through repeated Plant walkthroughs.
  • Defines scope/planning and serves as project manager for Capital Project improvements as well as manages financial aspects of the site's capital improvement plan.
  • Leads Automation efforts and responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and fully utilizing control systems as well as providing off-hours support if needed.
  • Conducts Process Safety Management activities such as management of change, process hazards analyses, pre-startup safety reviews, etc.
  • Leads Mechanical Integrity program by interacting with 3rd Party engineers and inspectors to schedule and conduct inspections, interpret reports, and drive the execution of follow-up actions.
  • Manages site Maintenance department including short-term planning as well as execution of numerous projects and activities during shutdowns and turnarounds.
  • Provides leadership through Contractor Management to ensure work completed meets Allnex SHE and engineering standards.
  • Aligns with Operations personnel and conducts activities such as chemistry and chemical process troubleshooting to aid meeting production goals.
  • Drives Continuous Improvement through tools such as six sigma, lean, workout, etc.
  • Supports Quality Management System efforts through ownership of detailed operating procedures, execution of corrective actions, and participation in internal audit programs.


Required skills and experience

  • 5-7 years of experience in a Manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in a Chemical Manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
  • Detailed, results oriented, and able to thrive in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and develop plans to execute to satisfy daily operational needs while maintaining focus on longer-term strategic needs.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • High level of proficiency in computer applications including, but not limited to Microsoft Office, SAP, LIMS, PI, AutoCAD, DCS/PLCs, etc.
