Engineering Machining ManagerRole OverviewMitsubishi Power is hiring an Engineering Machining Manager in the Savannah Machinery Works location. The Engineering Machining Manager is responsible for leading the development, optimization, and standardization of CNC machining processes to support safe, high-quality, and cost-efficient manufacturing operations. This role drives process excellence through team leadership, robust qualification practices, continuous improvement, and innovation, while ensuring strong alignment with production, quality, and business objectives.

- Lead, coach, and develop machining engineers by setting clear expectations, supporting growth, and fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Set clear performance expectations aligned to safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
- Drive knowledge sharing (best practices, cheat sheets, work instructions) across the team.
- Support talent development, cross-training, and succession planning.
- Manage team priorities to support business requirements.
- Provide mentorship and training to ensure team competency and growth.
- Lead the creation, validation, and continuous improvement of CNC machining processes across all product lines.
- Develop standardized machining strategies, tooling selections, and cutting parameter guidelines.
- Optimize cycle times, machine utilization, and process capability (Cp/Cpk).
- Ensure integration of best practices in programming, fixturing, tool life management, and machine consumables.
- Establish and govern machining process qualification standards (FAI, capability studies).
- Analyze data, metrics, and performance indicators to identify bottlenecks and implement solutions for process optimization.
- Lead and support the creation, validation, and maintenance of MPPs and process documentation.
- Drive shop centric culture within the team.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- 10+ years of manufacturing experience with a strong machining focus.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including drawings, schematics, procedures, and safety manuals, and communicate effectively in writing and presentations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to apply mathematical concepts, statistics, geometry, and practical reasoning to complex situations.
- Proficient with databases, project management tools, Microsoft Office applications, email, and technical documentation software.
