Job Description:

Job Summary:

The Engineering Change Coordinator will perform staff functions, provide change management process leadership, employee technical assistance, employee education and training and detail direction to Releasing Analysts and Technicians responsible for planning and implementing product changes in the manufacturing process.

What You Will Do:
  • Manage engineering change data and documentation within SAP, Teamcenter, and related systems.
  • Analyze engineering releases, drawings, and change notices to determine implementation requirements.
  • Coordinate change activities with Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Facilitate communication and problem resolution throughout the change management process.
  • Monitor and report on change implementation progress to ensure timely completion.
  • Maintain accurate records and support process improvements.


What You Will Have:
  • Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Working knowledge and understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
  • Cross-Team Integration: Basic understanding of the importance of inter-team collaboration in breaking down silos and achieving business results; ability to lead employees from various functions to communicate, coordinate work across divisions, and collaborate in solving problems as one team.
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Basic understanding and knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Manufacturing Requirements Planning (MRP): Basic understanding and knowledge of the processes, practices and systems used in manufacturing requirements planning (MRP); ability to optimize planning for manufacturing cycles and ensure capacity and materials availability.
  • Planning and Organizing: Basic understanding and knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way.
  • Problem Solving: Basic understanding and knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.


What Will Set You Apart:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Data Analytics
  • Experience using SAP and Office 365
  • Experience reading engineering prints
  • Desire to build expertise in engineering change management to become a subject matter expert
  • The ability to work independently and effectively engage with leaders and team members located across different countries and time zones


Additional Information:
  • This position is located in Griffin, GA and requires 5-days a week on-site availability
  • This position does not provide domestic relocation
  • This position does not offer visa sponsorship
  • Travel is expected 10% or less, both domestic and international


Summary Pay Range:

$81,370.00 - $122,060.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
