Position Description

As an Associate Staff member of the ISR Systems and Architectures Group, you will be responsible for individual systems analysis studies of critical DoW missions, planned DoW capabilities, and new technologies. You will contribute to the development of physics- and engineering-based models for a wide array of technologies related to sensors, aircraft, satellites, communication systems, navigation, and data exploitation. While previous experience in these systems isn't required, you must be able to leverage your strong technical background to rapidly become knowledgeable about these technologies as you learn from, and collaborate with, experts across the Laboratory. Additionally, you will prepare and present impact briefings to convey key study findings and recommendations, and will deliver these to a range of audiences including DoW senior decision-makers, government technology experts, and Lincoln Laboratory colleagues.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Physics, Mathematics, Aeronautics/Astronautics, Engineering, or a related technical field or a Bachelor's and 3 years of experience will be considered.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with highly interdisciplinary team


Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to quickly learn new technical areas
  • Demonstrated ability to break down complex technical problems and effectively communicate key findings
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with highly interdisciplinary teams
  • Experience with MATLAB-based modeling, simulation, and data analysis
  • Selected candidate will be subject to a pre-employment background investigation and must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret level security clearance with compartmented program eligibility


Recent Graduate Hiring Range: $116,400 - $140,000

Experienced Hiring Range: $116,400 - $182,200
