Full Job Description
The Engineering Associate will review product specifications for new/existing products and services, and prepares support plan in accordance with customer/market requirements and FAA/OEM standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develops test methodologies, standard/customized equipment specifications and parts provisioning plan to support production requirements.
  • Maintains and builds test equipment for instrument repair.
  • Support the engineering requirements of production operations, customers and supply chain. Train repair technicians in function and use of new test equipment and development of testing standards and procedures.
  • Conducts experimental tests and evaluates results.
  • Applies and uses independent evaluation to selects components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability.
  • Comprehension and utilization of computer aided design software.
  • Determine root causes of failures using statistical methods and recommend changes in designs, tolerances, or processing methods.
  • Incorporate new methods and processes to improve existing operations.
  • Troubleshoot new or existing product problems involving designs, materials, or processes.
  • Review product designs for manufacturability or completeness.
  • Communicate manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, or other information to facilitate production processes.
  • Interface with tooling vendors and purchasing to produce a quality tool/die at a competitive price.
  • Conducts experimental tests and evaluates results.
  • Applies and uses independent evaluation to selects components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
  • Ability to coordinate and work well with other departments and individuals within organization.

Abilities & Qualification
  • Have strong team orientation.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written & verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills, and the ability to summarize data and trends clearly
  • Ability to work overtime, shift/weekends when needed.
  • Knowledge of the aviation industry and airline MRO
  • Strong software development/engineering skills
  • Creative problem solving and experimental design
  • Experience with of CAD software


Abilities & Qualification

Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university; at least 5-7 year of continuous professional experience in manufacturing / aerospace engineering field; or equivalent combination of education and hands on experience equivalent to 7-10 years of relevant engineering experience
