Overview

The IT Supply Chain Oracle System Engineer group has openings for highly motivated system engineers to support Electric Boat’s customization of our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) application suite. ERP is the vehicle for integrating people, processes and technologies across a digital supply chain ecosystem.  These applications will reduce program costs and prepare the company to face the challenges and opportunities of a modernized digital enterprise.  Our team members must have strong verbal and written communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences.  You will develop your skills, work with cutting-edge technologies and introduce new tools and techniques to the team.  There are plenty of opportunities for leadership growth as well. 

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Evaluate business processes, anticipate and gather requirements, uncover areas of improvement, and facilitate solution development and implementation
  • Partner with business stakeholders to define Oracle ERP vision and roadmap to support business goals
  • Research and understand Oracle's current and future technologies, provide best practices to reduce total cost of ownership and meet business goals
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts for production issues from root cause analysis to resolution
  • Develop a thorough understanding of Oracle interfaces and integrations
  • Manage technical and functional Oracle Service Requests
  • Support the business testing strategies that will maintain system integrity within the SDLC
  • Document detailed functional requirements and transform business requirements into technical solutions
  • Manage communication with multiple stakeholders
Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Business Information Systems or Management Information Systems
  • 5+ years of experience implementing Oracle ERP solutions

Preferred:

  • 5+ years of experience implementing Oracle ERP solutions
  • Advanced SQL experience
  • Product owner experience within an agile organization
  • Experience capturing business requirements, preparing functional specification documents, solution designing, prototyping, testing, training, and implementing business solutions with Oracle ERP

  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical personnel
  • Desire to mentor team members
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Analytical individual who possesses an eagerness to learn and is not afraid to ask questions and challenge current processes, ideas, and systems
  • Demonstrated experience working in a team environment
  • Excellent documentation, organizational, and communication skills

  • Ability to multitask while maintaining focus on release priorities
  • Experience with GIT, SQL Developer, Jira, Confluence
  • Strong working knowledge of Oracle eBusiness Suite
