A major Aerospace company is looking for an Engineer Software 2 to support our EA-18G Programs. As a member of the EA-18G software team you'll get to develop software to support our Growler Block 1 and Growler Block 2 programs.
This position will serve on-site at Naval Air Warfare Center, Point Mugu and our Camarillo, CA office.
ResponsibilitiesBasic Qualifications for Engineer Software 2 - BS degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) with 2 years of experience, or MS degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) with 1 years of experience
- Experience with a higher order language such as Ada, C/C++, C#
- Knowledge of object-oriented software development
- Ability to function as a member of an integrated team
- Experience with version control systems (e.g. git, Bitbucket, ClearCase
- DoD Secret Clearance or higher, interim Secret is acceptable
Preferred Qualifications for Engineer Software 2- Strong verbal communication and customer service skills
- Strong collaborative mindset
- Experience working full software life cycle experience on large scale formal DoD program
- Experience programming with Ada language
- Experience programming with C++ language
- Experience with real-time embedded software development
- Experience working in an Agile environment
- Electronic Warfare system development and design experience
- Develop embedded real-time system software
- Work in an Agile environment as part of a scrum team
- Resolve software and system defects
- Collaborate with our customer, internal NGC sites and disciplines
- Participate and contribute to peer reviews, critical milestone reviews, and technical inter-change meetings
- Use project dependent tools including:
- Rational Clear Case, ClearQuest, DOORS
- Git, Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence
- Ada, C/C++, C#, Python
- Green Hills Integrity RTOS, Windows, and Linux
