Full Job Description
Salary Range: $112,951 -$150,601

Summary

This position is responsible for providing engineering support and project management support for the processes associated with ERCOT Polled Settlement metering. This role will report on-site 3 plus days a week based out of our downtown Dallas Office.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Reviews, develops, and approves meter engineering designs for transmission interconnected generating stations and transmission interconnected customers.
  • Provides oversight of project management tasks related to EPS meter sites and transmission-interconnected customers.
  • Serves as technical subject matter expert for the advanced meters, meter test equipment, meter programming, and associated communication schemes used for ERCOT Polled Settlement Metering.
  • Serves as subject matter expert for EPS Metering processes and ERCOT Protocols related to EPS metering.
  • Leads various EPS Meter-related projects, including process improvement efforts.
  • Provides EPS Metering-related support to internal and external entities including Rates & Regulatory, Regulatory Affairs, Transmission Engineering, Transmission Services, Oncor EPS Meter Inspectors, ERCOT, Generators, and others.
  • Represents Oncor on the ERCOT Meter Working Group.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.


Education & Experience

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering is required.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Texas preferred.
  • Generally, requires 6 or more years of experience in an Electrical Engineering role, preferably in the power field.

  • Ensures meter designs comply with ERCOT Protocols and Settlement Metering Operating Guide (SMOG).

  • Effectively coordinates with various internal and external work groups in the execution of projects.
  • Demonstrates competency in the engineering and technical aspects of EPS Metering.
