About the OpportunityWe have an exciting opportunity for an
Engineer, Process to join our Langeloth Metallurgical Facility in Langeloth, PA. In this onsite role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring, and improving various processes within the plant including work on projects that serve business needs. This role is also responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and collaborating with cross function teams to achieve targets and quality standards.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Continuously evaluates and optimizes processing operations to maximize resource recovery, minimize waste and improve plant efficiency.
- Collaborate with design teams to develop, modify and implement new processes or equipment improvement for the plant.
- Implement and maintain rigorous quality assurance measures to ensure products meet specification and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment and minimize risks.
- Minimize environmental impact by implementing sustainable practices and technologies.
- Collect and analyze data from various sources to identify trends, troubleshoot issues and make data-driven decisions to improve processes.
- Support large projects and lead smaller projects that support safety, operations, engineering, quality, ESG.
- Stay up to date with relevant regulations and ensure processes are in compliance with all applicable laws.
- Assist in development and management of budgets related to process improvement projects and operational expenses.
- Work closely with cross functional teams to achieve production and quality goals.
About YouThe following will be critical to successfully performing this role:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Professional engineering certification (PE) is a plus.
- Proven experience in process engineering, preferably in a mineral processing environment.
- 3+ years of experience in minerals/chemicals/metals processing preferred.
- Strong understanding of chemicals and metallurgical processing.
- Knowledge of regulatory and safety standards related to mining/chemicals/metallurgical industries.
- Proficiency in simulation software and data analysis tools a plus.
