Primary Duties and AccountabilitiesIn-Vessel Inspection (IVVI / IVI) Program Engineer
The In-Vessel Inspection Program Engineer is responsible for the governance, implementation, and technical oversight of the reactor in-vessel inspection program, ensuring compliance with BWRVIP requirements, regulatory commitments, and corporate procedures. This role provides subject matter expertise for IVI scope development, outage execution support, inspection result evaluation, and indication disposition to ensure reactor internal component integrity and safe, reliable plant operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage the In-Vessel Inspection (IVI) Program per BWRVIP guidance, regulatory requirements, and program plans.
- Maintain and update IVI program documents, technical justifications, and procedures for compliance.
- Develop IVI inspection scopes and support refueling outage execution.
- Evaluate inspection results and address indications to ensure reactor component integrity.
- Provide technical expertise for regulatory audits, reporting, and program improvements.
Working Conditions
- Support of refueling outages, including extended hours as required
- Occasional travel for fleet support, benchmarking, or vendor engagements
Minimum QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for Entry Level E01 EngineerBachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical or Nuclear)
Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for Mid-level E02 EngineerBachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical or Nuclear) with 2 years of nuclear or related engineering experience
Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for Senior E03 EngineerBachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical or Nuclear) with 5 years of nuclear experience or related engineering experience
Maintain minimum access requirement or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties
Preferred Qualifications- Prior experience with IVVI, ISI, or Materials Programs Engineering
- Knowledge of BWRVIP, ASME Section XI interfaces, and NRC inspection support
- Refueling outage execution support experience
