Engineer III, Test Towson, MD, United StatesThe Job: As a Engineer III Test, you'll be part of our Global Tool & Storage team working as an onsite employee. You'll get to:
- Design and implement a variety of automated test systems using, but not limited to, robotics, pneumatics & hydraulics.
- Work in a "hands on" environment.
- Leverage CAD to lead the development of automated test systems.
- Ownership from start to finish of the design, assembly, and validation of automated test systems focusing on deliverables and user safety.
- Develop system controls utilizing Koyo PLCs, NI cRIO & embedded processors.
- Utilize various types of test equipment including, but not limited to oscilloscopes, strain amplifiers, loadcells, dynamometers, power analyzers, thermal/humidity chambers & NI data acquisition.
- Collaborate with all levels of product development.
- Become a technical and subject matter expert on applicable technologies during the development process to drive innovation.

- Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering or similar field.
- 5+ years of experience in an engineering design environment.
- Demonstrates command and working application of the Electro-Mechanical Engineering principles while requiring some guidance on new projects.
- Skilled in technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques.
- Be capable of implementing innovative concepts via mechanical design.
- Possesses tools and methods for detailed root cause analysis in complex technical situations.
- Strong knowledge of implementing innovative concepts through Electro-Mechanical design.
- Possesses methods to successfully manage multiple tasks and priorities while maintaining detailed documentation
- Skilled ability to apply Engineering Principles (Statics, Dynamics, Physics, Free-Body Diagrams, Etc.) to solve technical problems.
- Drive development from non-technical and verbal requests.
- Experience with 3D modeling (Preferably CATIA V5).
- Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Must have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working with diverse range of people and with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work both independently and as an integral member of a tight knit team.
- Ability to lift 40lbs.
- Additional duties as assigned.
- Preferred:
- Strong power tool knowledge and application knowledge.
- Proficiency with and ability to use hand tools.
- Experience with MS Visio, SharePoint, and Power Apps.
- Mastery of GD & T standards.
- Competence with LabVIEW or other data acquisition methods utilizing various modes of monitoring telemetry.
- Practical experience with designing pneumatic and hydraulic systems utilizing industrial safety/ design standards.
- Manual machining experience (machine lathe, vertical knee mill).

The Salary range for this position is $72,000.00 - $115,900.00
