This Opportunity

WSP is currently initiating a search for an Engineer II for our Columbia, MD office. Be involved in projects with our Program Management Team with Anne Arundel County and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client's objectives and solves their challenges.
Your Impact

Job Responsibilities
  • Manage design consultants and construction contractor's projects for water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, water/wastewater treatment plants and pumping stations.
  • Coordinate Project designers and construction managers' activities.
  • Manage capital improvement projects including project schedule, budget, and deliverables.
  • Permit coordination.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.


Who You Are

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or relevant field or equivalent experience
  • 2 years of project/construction management experience on water treatment facilities, wastewater collection systems, pump stations and treatment facility projects
  • Strong oral and written skills
  • Familiarity with the practices and principles of Design and Construction


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of water treatment facilities, wastewater collection systems, pump stations and treatment facilities systems, construction processes, and project lifecycle management.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate both countywide programs and specific projects.
  • Data and information systems management experience
  • Experience in a web-based document management system such as e-Builder, Unifier and CM-14
  • Ability to support scheduling for a program of multiple projects, including monitoring costs.
  • EIT with desire to achieve PE.
  • Ability to lead and conduct large meetings and work in a client setting

Compensation:

Expected Salary (all locations): $98,000-108,000

WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
