Job Description:

Microchip FTS located in Beverly, MA is considering candidates for a self-motivated, intensely customer focused product engineer to work with our team. This position will be primarily responsible for providing on-going technical and test support for the cesium and rubidium product lines. The candidate will possess excellent hands-on, product level technical/engineering skills.

Under the direction of the Product Engineering Manager, the Product Engineer will:
  • Interpreting test requirements, developing, and maintaining test procedures, and documenting test practices.
  • Analyzing data to drive issues to root cause.
  • Generating Change Requests (CRs) on technical issues relating to the production test process.
  • Engagement with Design and Test Development teams to solve issues impacting production.
  • Ensuring hardware requirements are met and processes are followed
  • Assisting manufacturing operators in the testing & troubleshooting of production hardware.
  • Perform data collection, characterization, and statistical analysis. Conduct failure analysis using efficient problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Identify and resolve device performance and yield issues related to design, test, package, or process issues.
  • Manage multiple projects and deliver commitments to customers.
  • Prepare and present technical data and communicate complex engineering concepts to development team members.
  • Utilize RF/Microwave test equipment, test fixtures and measurement techniques.
  • Execute all aspects of product release including the documentation, BOMs, datasheets, manufacturing flow, and test plans.
  • Post release product yield analysis and manufacturing flow optimization.
  • Develop and implement cost effective test solutions to improve capacity, volume, quality and yield.


Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology or Hardware Engineering
  • 0 - 2.5 years of test and/or troubleshooting experience
