Full Job Description
The Facilities Engineer acts as a project manager for construction, renovation, FMP (factory master plan) initiatives. This role is heavily loaded with CAD work, maintaining the plant masters, and site facilities document control. Acts as a data and site systems expert as that supports a huge range of department initiatives. Meeting and proposal work including note taking and presentation work. Also, project documentation for justification that leads to capital CAR and expensed project approvals.

Position Responsibilities may include;
• Oversee day-to-day operation of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, and utilities)
• Troubleshoot system issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime
• Support critical equipment uptime and reliability objectives
• Develop and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance programs
• Analyze maintenance data to identify trends and improve asset performance
• Support root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive action plans (CAPA)
• Lead or support small-to-medium capital projects (e.g., equipment upgrades, layout changes, energy improvements)
• Create, update, and maintain facility layouts, system diagrams, and as-built drawings using CAD software
• Develop and review installation drawings, equipment placement plans, and utility routing designs
• Ensure design accuracy and adherence to engineering standards, codes, and internal specifications
• Manage contractors and ensure work is completed on time and within budget
• Identify and implement cost-saving and energy-efficiency initiatives
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date digital drawings and engineering documentation
• Support space planning, equipment layout optimization, and workflow improvements using CAD models
• Collaborate with engineering and construction teams to incorporate design changes into final documentation
• Ensure proper version control and documentation standards for facility drawings
• Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, OSHA regulations, and environmental requirements
• Support audits, inspections, and corrective actions
• Partner with EHS to maintain a safe working environment
• Coordinate with third-party service providers and contractors
• Monitor vendor performance against service level agreements (SLAs)
• Collaborate with site leadership, operations, and engineering teams
• Perform other tasks as assigned

• Applies advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience
• Manages projects and processes while working independently and with limited supervision
• Coaches and reviews the work of lower-level professionals
• Problems faced are difficult and sometimes complex; takes a new perspective on existing solutions

Knowledge & Skills:
• Very effective verbal and written communication skills.
• High level of attention to detail and surroundings.
• Mid-level project management experience
• Highly skilled with many computer software packages, including data entry.
• Ability to learn new work order and purchasing software packages quickly.
• Mid-level expert in 2D CAD packages. Preferable AutoCAD.
• Must be moderately skilled with basic hand tools and measuring devices.
• Ability to understand and follow work instructions, policies and procedures.
• Be dependable, work well in a team environment, and establish positive working relationships with employees and customers
Experience:
• Mid-level project management experience. 3-5 years.
• General engineering (CAD) experience of 4-7 years

Education/Certification:
• BS in Engineering
• Must have Valid driver's license

People Management: No

Physical Requirements / Work Environment Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations. The ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 40 lbs or lift lighter items repetitively or perform 2 man lifts for heavier items. The ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
