The Engagement Strategist develops and executes member engagement strategies that drive awareness, adoption, and behavior change across healthcare solutions. This role partners closely with Product Management, Engineering, Analytics, Operations, and Commercial teams to ensure engagement experiences are integrated throughout the product lifecycle-from discovery and design through launch and optimization. By leveraging member insights, engagement data, and journey analytics, the Engagement Strategist helps improve member experiences, increase product adoption, and support business growth.
Key Responsibilities- Design and manage end-to-end member engagement strategies across the healthcare journey, including awareness, prescription savings, care navigation, medication adherence, and condition management.
- Partner with Product Managers during product discovery and planning to define engagement strategies, customer journeys, and adoption approaches before development begins.
- Develop customer journey maps, channel strategies, campaign architectures, and activation plans that support product adoption and member engagement goals.
- Build, launch, test, and optimize multi-channel engagement campaigns across email, SMS, web, mobile, and direct mail channels.
- Analyze campaign, adoption, and engagement metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and recommend data-driven enhancements.
- Collaborate with Analytics teams to develop reporting and measurement frameworks that provide actionable insights into member behavior and engagement performance.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Operations, Client Success, and Commercial teams to ensure engagement strategies are effectively implemented and optimized.
- Present engagement strategies, journey designs, and performance insights to internal stakeholders and external clients.
- Identify opportunities to improve member experiences, increase adoption, and support business objectives through new engagement programs and initiatives.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and partners supporting engagement initiatives and campaigns.
Must-Have Requirements - Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- 4+ years of experience in engagement strategy, customer experience, lifecycle marketing, product marketing, healthcare communications, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience developing and optimizing multi-channel engagement programs utilizing at least three communication channels (e.g., email, SMS, web, mobile applications, or direct mail).
- 2+ years of experience analyzing engagement, campaign, adoption, or customer behavior metrics and applying findings to improve outcomes.
- 2+ years of experience partnering with Product Management, Technology, Analytics, or Operations teams in a cross-functional environment.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities and deadlines.
- Experience presenting recommendations, strategies, and results to stakeholders at multiple organizational levels.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word in a professional environment.
- Experience using customer relationship management (CRM), marketing automation, or engagement technology platforms.
Nice-to-Have Requirements - Experience in healthcare, pharmacy, health technology, benefits administration, patient engagement, or consumer health industries.
- Experience working within a product organization or Agile product development environment.
- Experience with Salesforce, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or similar marketing automation platforms.
