Job DescriptionBAE Systems is seeking a highly motivated, experienced Study Analyst to join the Mission Assessments team. Study Analysts collaborate with design teams assessing threats, developing and quantifying operational level systems requirements, developing operational systems concepts, and assessing mission effectiveness in simulated environments. Analysts perform operational analysis and mission engineering studies using a wide variety of DoD, existing and self-developed modeling & simulation tools.
Study Analysts should have a deep understanding of the many tools and tradecraft techniques to perform effective modeling, simulation, and analysis. They should have an understanding of BAE Systems technology areas such as integrated Electronic Warfare (EW) systems including Electronic Attack (EA), Electronic Protection (EP) and Electronic Support (ES) for RF sensing, detection, identification, geolocation, and jamming; infrared (IR) imaging, guidance, survivability and targeting; C4ISR for actionable intelligence including SIGINT, EO/IR, Multi-INT, and hyperspectral solutions; and information technologies including fusion and dynamic mission battle management. Study Analysts should also have strong communication and presentation skills and be effective in communicating study considerations, methods, and results to BAE Systems' internal and external customers. Responsibilities include:
- Perform mission simulation using government and industry standard tools to determine mission effectiveness
- Perform engagement simulation using standard tools, with an emphasis on DIADS, AFSIM, and MATLAB
- Perform modeling and simulation studies that optimize mission performance for weapon systems across the air, land, sea, space, and cyber domains
- Plan and perform studies using customer and stakeholder requirements to determine MOEs, MOPs, and TPMs and the methods and tools used to produce them
- Develop and apply advanced software and systems methods, theories and research techniques in the investigation, analysis and solution of complex and advanced technical problems
- Develop visualizations of the battlespace at mission and engagement levels
- Use, develop, and modify tools to support:
- Data analysis of simulation or flight test results
- Requirements analysis
- Interface with internal and external customers
We are targeting to have the selected candidate start on June 15, 2026.
Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this role, it will be performed
full-time onsite. This means work will be conducted on location at BAE Systems facilities 100% of the time.
This position will be posted for at least 5 calendar days. The posting will remain active until the position is filled, or a qualified pool of candidates is identified.
