Job DescriptionPlease note this position supports our 2nd shift team working Monday-Thursday 3:30pm-2am. You earn a 10% pay premium.Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.
The individual selected for this position will provide engineering support to the Microwave West Factory on a variety of products. Seeking an experienced engineer with a background in programming, process development and control.
The candidate will be responsible for:
- Working with other engineers and technicians to create and maintain accurate process documentation
- Establishing statistical process controls for critical manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshooting defect root cause as problems arise.
- Coordinating preventative maintenance with vendors.
- Evaluating new equipment, coordinating potential requests for capital equipment and calculating return on investment.
- Working with operations industrial engineers to optimize the product stream capacity and plan for growth.
- Developing best practices and innovative solutions to improve production throughput and reduce defects and cost of poor quality.
- Work in a fast-paced environment, handling shifting priorities and working within cost and time constraints.
Required Skills and Education- Bachelor's Degree
- 4+ years of process engineering experience
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Clearance
Preferred Skills and Education- Knowledgeable of process related standards, MIL-STD-883, MIL-PRF-38534, ad MIL-STL-5541 as examples.
- Experienced in AutoCAD and/or 3D modelling.
- A self-starter with the ability to think analytically and work with limited instruction.
