Job DescriptionWe are looking for a talented Senior Principal Software engineer to work in the area of RFCM development and integration. The opening is for a large and dynamic program developing an Electronic Warfare (EW) product onboard a military aircraft. The candidate must have a deep knowledge of EW countermeasures and the ability to lead an experienced technical team.
Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.
Required Skills and Education- Secret Security Clearance (active within the past two years).
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field, and minimum of 8 years work experience or equivalent experience
- Deep knowledge of EW countermeasures
- Proven ability to lead an experienced development team
- Proven ability to create complex designs, working with both existing baselines and new-start projects
- Proven knowledge in service-based architecture
- Proven ability to create test artifacts, execute and capture test results
- Lab integration experience with complex systems
- Ability to partner with senior technical and project leads to provide estimates, status, risks and opportunities
- Ability to evaluate, create, and reconcile requirements across multiple baselines or projects
- Familiar with Git, Visual Studio, and Visual Studio Code
- Ability to work independently
- Strong C++ experience
- Foundation in Object-Oriented design and implementation principles
- Experience with software and systems engineering processes, methodologies, and tools
- Experience performing software testing, validation, and verification activities
Preferred Skills and Education- Experience in identifying software risk areas in a design to mitigate technical risk
