What You'll Do:- Technical Leadership: Spearhead the design and development of complex electronic systems, focusing on system-level and detailed circuit architectures for space-based applications. Your expertise will set the technical direction and ensure the highest standards of performance and reliability.
- Advanced Analysis and Simulation: Lead advanced analyses, including worst-case circuit analysis, parts stress analysis, and signal integrity assessments. Drive the development of simulation models and methodologies that push the boundaries of what's possible.
- Digital and Analog Design Expertise: Architect and implement sophisticated digital and analog designs, leveraging FPGAs, microprocessors, and high-speed communication interfaces. Your designs will be critical to the success of our space-based systems.
- Test and Validation: Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and fixtures for chip and board-level validation. Create reusable circuits and test methodologies that enhance efficiency and reduce risk across multiple projects.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with and lead cross-functional teams, including parts engineers, layout engineers, and systems engineers. Define requirements, drive technical decisions, and ensure seamless integration of systems.
- Anomaly Resolution and Root Cause Analysis: Lead anomaly debugging, root cause analysis, and corrective actions. Your expertise will be critical in resolving complex technical challenges and ensuring system reliability.
- Mentorship and Knowledge Sharing: Share your expertise with junior engineers, providing guidance and mentorship to help them grow. Contribute to the development of best practices and technical standards within the team.
- Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.

On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working
on-site three or more days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.
Working Conditions: - Work is performed in an office, laboratory, production floor, or cleanroom, outdoors or remote research environment.
- May occasionally work in production work centers where use of protective equipment and gear is required.
- May access other facilities in various weather conditions.
Required Skills and Education- BS degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field is required plus 4 or more years related experience.
- Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
- Experience with electronic circuit design, electronic systems, as well as software.
- Hands on experience with lab power supplies, oscilloscopes, function generators, and logic analyzers is required.
- Good communication skills, as well as presentation skills.
