Responsibilities

Job Description

BAE Systems is seeking a mid-level Electrical Engineer to join our factory team in Merrimack, New Hampshire!

This role will require a solid understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals for digital/analog/power/mixed signals and various interfaces/communications, strong oral and written communication skills, excellent time management skills and a willingness to learn. This role is 100% on-site to support the factory in real-time. It is expected that the candidate be proficient in state-of-the-art laboratory equipment and techniques and can execute in a small team environment.

Typical duties assigned to this position:
  • Support Operations when electrical issues arise in the factory
  • Testing and troubleshooting at CCA and system level
  • Functional CCA tests prior to integration
  • Support to test equipment
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, quality, suppliers, and customers to resolve issues and ensure successful product delivery
  • Investigate root causes of failures and implement corrective actions, as required
  • Interface with suppliers to answer questions and/or provide technical directions
  • Support Diminished Manufacturing Supply (DMS) efforts by identifying alternative sourcing or managing lifetime buys
  • Implement process and design improvements, as identified
  • Create/review technical documents such as test procedures, drawings, specifications, reports and Engineering Change Orders

Required Skills and Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Solid Electrical Engineering and electronics fundamentals
  • Prior EE experience supporting production factories or a willingness to learn
  • Eligible to obtain a DOD Security Clearance


Preferred Skills and Education

  • Solid fundamentals of digital, analog, and mixed signal electronics
  • Solid fundamentals of power electronics
  • Solid fundamentals of interface/communication standards
  • Understanding of electronics manufacturing and test methodologies
  • Experience with EO/IR electro-optical hardware/products
  • Fundamentals of EO/IR systems
  • Experience with FPGA hardware
  • Knowledge of memory interfaces such as DDR, QSPI
  • Knowledge of data transfer protocols such as PCIe, Ethernet, JESD 204, I2C, JTAG
  • Experience developing compact embedded systems for harsh environments
  • Experience with product development and support of electronics equipment
  • Familiarity with AS9145 compliant processes
  • Active DOD security clearance
