Job DescriptionBAE Systems is seeking a System Engineer to support our work as a prime contractor on a high-profile U.S. Navy weapon system. The position is to support the SP201 contract, namely the Coordination Program Area, with processing change requests to Electrical Data Requirement Interfaces. In addition, the candidate will conduct impact reviews on contractor documentation to see if SSP maintained artifacts require updates and attend program area meetings and/or other program meetings in support of the coordination program area. The ability to communicate, coordinate, collaborate, and work independently without guidance is an imperative aspect of the role. The related work and industry experience of the candidate will also be evaluated. Responsibilities include providing engineering support, including updating interface documents from change requests.
Required Skills and Education- Possess or have the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance
- Degree in Aerospace, Electrical, or Systems Engineering
- Understanding of Systems Engineering principles
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with others
- Demonstrated Self-Starter
- Excellent organizational, planning, and follow-up skills
- Proficient with PC and MS Office Suite
- At least 4+ years of related work experience
