Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Fort Walton Beach, with a
focus on Electronics and Surface Mount Technology (SMT). The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing manufacturing processes for electronic assemblies, with a strong emphasis on surface mount technology. This is a senior-level position that requires a deep understanding of electronics manufacturing, process development, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and implement efficient and cost-effective manufacturing processes for electronic assemblies, including surface mount technology (SMT) and through-hole technology (THT)
- Lead cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements, reducing defects, and increasing productivity
- Develop and implement test and inspection procedures to ensure high-quality electronic assemblies
- Collaborate with design engineers to ensure manufacturability of new products and to provide feedback on design for manufacturability (DFM)
- Develop and maintain documentation, including process documentation, work instructions, and bills of materials (BOMs)
- Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues, including process-related problems and equipment malfunctions
- Implement and maintain lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies
Required Skills and EducationBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field and 6+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing, with a focus on surface mount technology (SMT) and through-hole technology (THT)
- Proven experience in process development, implementation, and improvement in an electronics manufacturing environment
- Must have a strong knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes, including SMT, THT, and inspection/test methods
- Experience with manufacturing equipment, including pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, and inspection systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience working in a team environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Experience with ERP systems, such as Costpoint, SAP or Oracle

Preferred Skills and Education- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing, with a focus on surface mount technology (SMT) and through-hole technology (THT)
- Experience with Industry 4.0 technologies, including automation, robotics, and data analytics
- Certification in electronics manufacturing, such as Certified SMT Engineer (CSMT) or Certified Electronics Technician (CET)
- Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
