In this role, you'll participate in the electrical architecture and hardware development for our Energy Solution product lines, including battery and fuel cell systems while collaborating with a dynamic and diverse team to achieve shared goals. We value innovative and creative ideas-yes, even during meetings (where snacks are always welcome). If you enjoy tackling challenges with positivity and a bit of humor, you'll feel right at home here.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Design, develop, and integrate electrical systems for fuel cell and battery applications, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Define specifications and coordinate with suppliers to select and integrate key electrical subsystems.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and validate circuit designs, including schematics and PCB layouts.
  • Build and test prototypes, conduct performance evaluations, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Troubleshoot system issues to enhance reliability, optimize designs for manufacturability, and support continuous improvement efforts.
  • Generate technical documentation such as design specifications, test plans, and analysis reports.
  • Work cross-functionally with mechanical, software, and test engineers to ensure seamless integration.
  • Contribute to risk and safety analysis (e.g., FMEDA, FTA, S/DFMEA) alongside functional safety teams.
  • Provide mentorship and support to junior engineers to foster growth and collaboration.

What We're Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience in electrical design and development.
  • Strong foundation in electrical circuit design, analysis, and simulation (e.g., SPICE).
  • Proficiency with CAD tools such as Altium or OrCAD.
  • Ability to optimize and commercialize electrical designs for high-demand manufacturing environments.
  • Working knowledge of industry standards and agency approvals (e.g., UL).
  • Familiarity with battery systems, especially in motive power applications.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

What Sets You Apart:
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience in automotive or industrial environments.
  • Certifications in electrical or systems engineering.
  • Direct experience with battery management systems and fuel cell technologies.
  • Knowledge of high-voltage systems (>60V) and protection methodologies.
  • Familiarity with UL 2267 or UL 2580 compliance standards.

Where and When You'll Work:
  • This is an in-person role located at our Rochester, New York office-ideal for those who thrive in a hands-on, team-oriented environment.

What Your Total Compensation & Benefits Package will look like:

Salary - $88,000 - $102,600 per year. Compensation depends on the selected candidate's education and experience.

Relocation: This role may be eligible for relocation assistance.

World Class Benefits:
