JOB SUMMARY: This role provides overall project management for direct-to-owner energy conservation projects performed by ATS. The Project Manager is responsible for managing project resources, including finances, labor, documentation, and schedules, to ensure successful project delivery.This position interfaces with customers, professional engineers, architects, utility providers, the Washington State Department of Enterprise Services and Commerce, and various subcontractors. The Project Manager oversees functional performance testing and other grant- or contract-required activities and ensures all reporting is completed accurately and on time.The role also serves as the primary customer contact, including pricing discussions and change order negotiations. In addition, the Project Manager supervises subcontractors and suppliers and regularly visits project jobsites to support execution. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Manage the transition of projects from pre-contract through design, construction, and completion phases
- Identify appropriate internal and external resources to meet project goals and requirements
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during post-contract phases
- Develop and manage project schedules and construction plans
- Create site-specific safety plans to prevent personnel injuries and ensure safety compliance
- Manage the billing and invoicing process to clients and from subcontractors
- Monitor, review, and manage overall project financial performance
- Assist with scope development and identify creative solutions to project challenges and issues
- Draft and manage subcontractor documents
- Oversee requirements and reporting for utility incentives and state commerce grants
SKILLS AND ABILITIES: - Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
- Highly effective at managing resources, including time, schedules, finances, and subcontractors
- Proficient in project planning and scheduling, including associated tools and software
- Knowledge and understanding of building systems, including:
- Building Automation & Energy Management Control Systems
- HVAC systems
- Lighting and lighting controls
- Energy metering (electric, gas, and water)
- Ability to read and understand project documentation (plans, specifications, and contracts)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Highly organized with strong analytical skills
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS: - Repetitive motion, including substantial use of wrists, hands, and fingers
- Sedentary work, exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects; walking and standing required occasionally
- Close visual acuity required for tasks such as preparing and analyzing data, transcribing, viewing computer monitors, and extensive reading
- Climbing, including ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and similar structures using hands, arms, feet, and legs
- Annual base salary ranges from $75,000-90,000 depending on experience and years of experience

CREDENTIALS AND EXPERIENCE - Engineering or construction management undergraduate degree preferred
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Industry experience preferred
