Energy Engineering Lead to spearhead our growing Energy Evolution Practice | VHB. Join a dynamic, collaborative team at the forefront of transformative projects, including substation expansions and rebuilds, transmission, renewable energy development, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).

Responsibilities- Design substation structures and foundations.
- Collaborate with multidiscipline internal and external project teams.
- Develop/review civil/structural engineering drawings, calculations, analyses, reports, and specifications.
- Document and track action items and deliverables.
- Procure major/minor civil/structural materials and prepare material takeoffs.
- Monitor project financial performance.
- Perform field visits and site inspections.
- Manage work and professional development of junior-level staff
- Manage small, medium, and large projects
- Develop new project opportunities and assist with proposal development and submissions

Qualifications- BS in Civil Engineering/Structural (MS may be substituted for 2 years of relevant experience)
- Minimum 8-11 years experience of commercial experience in civil/structural engineering
- Professional Engineering License or ability to obtain within 12 months preferred
- Experience with any of the following software a plus: RISA-3D, PLS-CADD, LPILE, & MicroStation/AutoCAD.
- Experience with investor-owned utilities required
- Experience in developing and compiling/producing project drawings, construction documents, specifications, and engineering reports
