Full Job Description
We9re looking for someone to join our team as a Physician Endocrinologist who:

Manage patients with uncontrolled diabetes and endocrine disorders through referrals sent by our primary care providers in the 20+ primary care centers. The Endocrinologist will work within a warm, caring atmosphere where the health of our patients is of top priority.

Essential Functions:

  • Performs in-person and virtual visits.
  • Collaborates with other healthcare professionals, such as primary care providers, clinical pharmacist, psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Keeps accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
  • Always adheres to the highest standards of medical ethics.
  • Always assures quality of care for all patients and regularly participates in clinic Peer Review and Quality Assurance Programs
  • Clinic practice of at least 34 patient care hours per week, with 6 hours of admin time built into the 40 hour per week schedule.


Other Responsibilities:

  • Supervises advance practice providers (Nurse practitioners and/or Physicians Assistant9s) on- site and by telephone with outlying clinic sites.
  • Represents CSV in professional groups.
  • Assists the Chief Medical Officer in design, implementation, and evaluation of health care programs/protocols for patients and staff.
  • On a scheduled basis may be required to work at any satellite facility.
  • Reasonable and predictable in person attendance
  • Other duties as required.


Qualifications:

  • Professional clinical experience in physician9s specialty.
  • Must possess:


  1. California Physician9s License
  2. DEA Certificate
  3. AHA-BLS (Exempt if you have ACLS certification)


  • Board Certification/Board Eligibility is required.
  • Experience in EPIC is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Spanish preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
  • Interest in research is highly desirable.
  • Must adhere to Clinica Sierra Vista9s employee health/immunization requirements or provide a valid exemption request for subsequent approval.
