Primary Healthcare Centers is seeking a compassionate and dedicated full or part-time Endocrinologist to join our team at our Fort Oglethorpe clinic location. This position offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive outpatient evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with endocrine and metabolic disorders. The physician delivers evidence-based, patient-centered medical care while collaborating with primary care providers and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to improve patient outcomes.
What You'll Do- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with endocrine and metabolic disorders, including but not limited to diabetes mellitus, thyroid disorders, osteoporosis, adrenal disorders, pituitary disorders, parathyroid disorders, hypogonadism, and other hormonal conditions.
- Perform comprehensive medical evaluations, including obtaining patient histories, conducting physical examinations, and ordering and interpreting appropriate laboratory and diagnostic testing.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based clinical guidelines.
- Prescribe medications and other therapeutic interventions as appropriate.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as clinically indicated.
- Manage complex diabetes care, including insulin therapy, continuous glucose monitoring (CGM), insulin pump therapy, and diabetes education.
- Coordinate patient care with primary care providers, specialists, behavioral health providers, dietitians, pharmacists, and other members of the healthcare team.
- Educate patients and family members regarding diagnoses, treatment options, medication management, nutrition, lifestyle modifications, and disease prevention.
- Maintain complete, accurate, and timely medical documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Review laboratory results, imaging studies, and consultation reports and communicate findings to patients as appropriate.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, peer review activities, and performance improvement projects.
- Comply with PHC clinical protocols, quality standards, infection prevention guidelines, and safety procedures.
- Participate in provider meetings, committee assignments, and continuing medical education activities.
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and organizational policies.
Qualifications- Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an accredited Family Medicine or Internal Medicine residency program
- Accredited Endocrinology fellowship is required
- A minimum of two or three years of outpatient endocrinology experience is preferred
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Endocrinology is required
- Active or ability to obtain Georgia medical license and DEA registration
- Strong clinical judgment and patient-centered communication skills

Compensation: $115.00 - $125.00 per hour
