Excellent Endocrinologist Opportunity, Norwalk area Connecticut - One Hour from New York City

Nuvance Health, is seeking an Endocrinologist to join our employed clinical team of Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers. The practice location is in lower Fairfield County: just one hour outside of New York City.

This is an employed position with Nuvance Health Medical Practice. Competitive total compensation package including base salary, incentive pay, paid time off, CME time off and allowance, medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and 401k match. Our hospital system and medical practice offers the full range of Endocrinology and Diabetes care including Transgender Medicine and Thyroid Cancer Diagnosis and Treatment. We have in-office ultrasound for thyroid biopsies though this is not a requirement for physicians. Our staff is trained in Insulin pumps and Continuous Glucose Monitoring Devices, and there is in-system access to our Certified Diabetes and Nutrition Education Center, Thyroid-Parathyroid Center, and Metabolic-Weight Loss Center. Our system has dedicated Endocrinology surgery and radiology services including Radioactive iodine therapy.

The position is mainly outpatient based with some inpatient consults at Norwalk Hospital. We are offering flexible schedules, and open to part-time or full-time with 4-5 working days per week. There is administrative time built into the schedule and proportional to hours worked.

Our hospitals are staffed by a superb group of hospitalist physicians and medical trainees who work in concert with our ambulatory practitioners. There is optional involvement with our medical teaching program including the opportunity for appointment to the clinical faculty of the University of Vermont College of Medicine and/or Yale School of Medicine.

Job Requirements:
  • MD or DO with CT State License, Federal DEA in CT and CT State Controlled Substance Registration
  • Have successfully completed an Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Residency and be Board Certified in either as well as completed a full Fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism and be Board Certified or Board Eligible.
  • Prefer 3+ years' of Endocrinologist clinical experience but will consider new fellowship graduates.
  • After-hour coverage - light call volume to physician, shared among multiple providers to decrease call frequency, approximately on call one week out of every 7 weeks.


We are located about 50 miles northeast of New York City in Fairfield County, near the border of Westchester and Putnam Counties in New York State, along the Long Island Sound. The city of Norwalk and surrounding towns are rich in cultural diversity and offer many venues for 4 season outdoor and indoor recreation.
