Department: Emergency

Schedule: Full-Time, Day

Hospital: St. Mary of Nazareth

Location: Chicago, IL 60622

Responsibilities

Act as a liaison between the health system/market/hospital and area Emergency Medical Services (EMS) providers. Serve as an advocate of the hospital with private, local, regional, and state EMS agencies. In addition, this position is responsible for ensuring collaboration across all care settings within the facility as it relates to EMS and public safety relations The Program Coordinator is directly accountable for the care given to patients in the Emergency Department under the direction of the physician. Communicates directly with the medical team and physician regarding changes in the patient27s clinical condition. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in the condition and/or response to treatment.

1. Current and valid Paramedic license issued by the State. 2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.3. ACLS within 30 days upon hire and maintain current. 4. PALS and/or ENPC required within 30 days upon hire and maintain current. 5. One year EMS outreach experience preferred; three years EMS clinical experience preferred.
