The Hackensack, New Jersey office of Kaufman Dolowich, a full-service National Law firm with more than 250 attorneys across 16 offices and over 25 practice areas, is actively seeking an attorney to join our growing litigation practice.
The ideal candidate will possess strong litigation, research, writing, and advocacy skills, with experience independently managing sophisticated employment matters through all phases of litigation.
Responsibilities- Manage a litigation caseload from inception through resolution
- Take and defend depositions
- Draft and respond to written discovery
- Prepare substantive and discovery-related motions
- Participate in court appearances, oral arguments, mediations, settlement conferences, and other litigation proceedings
- Handle employment litigation matters, including workplace disputes, administrative proceedings, and employment-related claims
- Represent professionals, businesses, and insurers in professional liability matters
- Communicate directly with clients and provide strategic guidance and regular case updates
- Collaborate closely with attorneys across offices and practice groups on complex litigation matters
Qualifications- Admission to practice in New Jersey required
- Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience
- Experience in professional liability, employment litigation, insurance defense, or other complex civil litigation preferred
- Strong writing, research, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced litigation environment
- Strong organizational, case management, and interpersonal skills
Preferred Experience- Professional liability defense litigation
- Employment litigation and counseling
- Administrative proceedings before state and federal agencies
- Experience handling depositions, motion practice, mediations, and court appearances
- Experience working directly with clients, insurers, and business professionals
Base Salary Range: $130,000-$160,000
