Full Job Description
The Employee Relations Lead will play a pivotal role in supporting Pinterest's culture. The successful candidate will support the development and improvement of the internal employee relations investigations program and conduct sensitive and confidential investigations, ensuring a fair and consistent fact-finding process grounded in our company policies and values. This role will manage investigation data, trends and lead projects that enhance our workplace investigation practices.

What You'll Do:
  • Be an owner of the employee relations investigations process, including conducting and managing all aspects of employee relations investigations into alleged misconduct, working closely with fellow team members and cross-functional partners, including employment law, compliance, human resources, IT etc
  • Draft investigation plans, conduct interviews, review evidentiary documentation, and complete analysis and investigation reports
  • Advise on and make recommendations for investigation outcomes and follow-up actions
  • Be on the cutting edge of technology and incorporate AI tools to streamline investigations and identify actionable insights.
  • Develop and enhance investigation related procedures and trainings to reflect industry best practices
  • Spot trends and themes, including root causes, matter classification, and disciplinary results
  • Prepare and provide updates on investigations, including trends and learnings, to internal stakeholders, including senior management
  • Establish and promote best practices relating to the conduct of investigations and assist in the development, implementation, and enhancement of company policies and investigation processes
  • Assist with special projects as needed

What We're Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Human Resources or equivalent experience
  • Experience conducting complex and sensitive investigations for 5+ years
  • Excellent analytical skills and strong and clear verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to interact effectively and collaboratively with cross-functional and cross-business teams at all levels of the organization to achieve results
  • Growth mindset and adaptability-embraces new tech and process improvements
  • Experience using AI tools for faster trend recognition and data analysis in ER cases
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and can prioritize and manage a high-volume workload while working independently, with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws
  • Experience in employment law a plus
  • Experience leveraging AI to automate documentation and streamline investigation process preferred
