Position Summary:

The Employee Benefits Risk Advisor is responsible for driving new business growth by developing and executing a strategic sales pipeline focused on employee benefits solutions. This individual is a true hunter with a proven ability to identify, prospect, and close new client opportunities while building long-term relationships with business owners and key decision-makers. The ideal candidate has at least five years of successful sales experience within an employee benefits insurance agency and a strong understanding of group health, ancillary benefits, and employee benefits consulting. This role requires a highly motivated, results-driven professional who thrives in a competitive environment, consistently exceeds sales goals, and collaborates with internal service teams to deliver exceptional client experiences

Essential Job Functions:
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to generate new employee benefits business and consistently meet or exceed annual sales goals.
  • Build, manage, and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified prospects through networking, referrals, cold calling, digital outreach, and community engagement.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities with employers ranging from small businesses to large organizations.
  • Conduct client discovery meetings to understand organizational goals, workforce challenges, and employee benefits needs.
  • Design and present customized employee benefits solutions, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, voluntary benefits, and wellness programs.
  • Collaborate with internal account management, underwriting, and carrier partners to develop competitive proposals and deliver comprehensive client solutions.
  • Negotiate and close new business opportunities while maintaining strong client relationships throughout the sales process.
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with business owners, executives, HR leaders, and key decision-makers.
  • Maintain an active presence in the marketplace through industry associations, networking events, trade organizations, and community involvement.
